Budderfly Welcomes Six New Members to Its Board of Directors

 SHELTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Budderfly, the fastest growing Energy-Efficiency-as-Service (EEaaS) provider in the U.S., today announced the appointments of six seasoned senior executives to its board of directors, with backgrounds spanning Fortune 500 corporations, industry-leading energy companies, global private markets firms, and banks.

The expanded board of directors will be instrumental in steering the company’s success as it scales into a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure platform. Priorities include expanding sales and installation capacity, broadening customer offerings, investing in software, analytics and network technologies, and the execution of strategic acquisitions.

Partners Group, a leading global private markets firm acting on behalf of its clients, recently acquired a majority equity stake in Budderfly and committed growth capital totaling more than $500 million.

Budderfly’s new board appointments include:

John Mahoney, former CEO of Engie Services North America: John has been at the forefront of the energy transition over the last 30 years with leadership positions at Honeywell, Chevron Energy Solutions, OpTerra Energy Services, as well as Engie. At Engie, John was focused on helping higher education institutions, airports, K-12 schools, municipalities, federal agencies, and C&I facilities to decarbonize, decentralize, and digitize operations through sustainable building lifecycle services.

Shirley Reece, former senior executive at both the corporate and owner/operator levels at McDonald's: Shirley’s expertise encompasses the successful management of billion-dollar plus multi-state operations in the United States and Indonesia, as a vice president and general manager. With over 34 years leading and contributing to strategic initiatives, Shirley’s portfolio of experience includes worldwide training, infrastructure transformation, and deployment of products and services. Shirley served as the VP and dean of Hamburger University, a premier training facility within the McDonald’s system. She currently serves as a board member for Golden Corral Restaurant, Netcare, and I Know, I Can.

Debra Koenig, director and former c-level executive at McDonald’s and VICorp: With over 35 years of corporate experience in hospitality, including over two decades serving as a director on private, advisory, and not-for-profit boards, Debra has expertise on matters involving governance, franchising, and leadership. She has a particular interest in effective boards that stretch organizations to innovate and serve with purpose. Her executive career includes the restaurant, manufacturing, and retail sectors with senior leadership roles at McDonald’s Corporation and VICorp.

Dennis Maloney, former senior vice president and chief digital officer for Domino’s: Dennis has more than 25 years of experience leading digital strategy and organizational transformation while growing consumer and Internet brands. Prior to Domino’s, Dennis was the director of global e-commerce at The Coca-Cola Company and brand manager at Procter and Gamble as well as serving in the US Navy as both a submarine officer and instructor at the US Naval Academy.

Todd Bright, partner and co-head of Private Infrastructure Americas, Partners Group: Todd has been with Partners Group since 2014 and has 30 years of industry experience, including serving as managing director of power and renewables investments at Denham Capital, vice president of structured transactions at Conectiv Energy, and director of business development at Statoil. Todd is also currently a board member for Partners Group’s portfolio companies Dimension Renewable Energy, a leading community solar platform, Seabras Group and Superior Pipeline Company.

Patrick Langan, member of management, Private Infrastructure Americas, Partners Group: Patrick has been with Partners Group eight years and sits on the board of Dimension Renewable Energy. He previously served on the board of Silicon Ranch and earlier in his career worked at Goldman Sachs and Barclays.
